Good morning,
As you have all been made aware, the EPRU previously decided not to sanction match play in the fall of 2020. As we have members under different guidelines, the EPRU previously sent out paperwork that would be required prior to clubs returning to play. This paperwork is still required to send in for teams to initiate return to play. This has been an ever changing situation and we appreciate your team’s patience and determination to have us all return to play safely.
First and foremost, regardless of how you are marketing/structure your matches, please submit a copy of the return to play paperwork if your club is organizing in any way, shape or form. By following the guidelines on this form, we are able to do our part to help keep our players safe, and assist in helping to keep the people that our players come into contact with outside of rugby safe. If you need a copy of the forms, please reach out.
Secondly, if your local guidelines allow you to resume practice and games, the EPRU supports your teams participating in these activities. There will not be a regional competitive season for the Spring 2021, but we strongly encourage you to practice and schedule non-league matches as you are allowed within your state and local guidelines.
Again, if you are going to get together at all, please fill out the simple and straightforward form. If you are choosing to operate outside of the guidelines then we need you to understand the risk that you are taking and meet us halfway by making sure the rest of the participants are also aware of the risks they are taking, as well as the liability that everyone involved is subjecting themselves to.
We wish all of our members the best and to remain safe throughout this time. We wish to get back to normal and have the rugby that we all know and love back in our lives soon.
